Alouettes Keys to the Game

Watch the Screens on Defense

With Dru Brown being out, we may see a higher amount of RPOs and screens. Defensive backs will need to be quick to come help on screen plays.

Keep Pounding the Rock

Last week, Montreal had great success on the ground. A strong presence of a run game is a great support to young quarterbacks.

More Solid Run Defense

Montreal held Toronto’s running backs to just 17 rushing yards on 7 carries. Toronto didn’t try to run the ball a lot last week, but when they did, Montreal shut them down.

5 Alouettes to Watch

#81 Austin Mack

Mack led the Alouettes in receiving last week, catching all 5 of his targets for 51 yards.

#6 Tyson Philpot

Philpot was the most targeted receiver in week 1 for Montreal, catching 4 of his 8 targets for 48 and a touchdown.

#48 CB Kabion Ento

Ento led the team in tackles last week with 5. Ento had one of the best seasons among corners last season.

#26 LB Tyrice Beverette

Beverette had 4 tackles last week and an interception.

#91 DE Isaac Adeyemi-Berglund

Adeyemi-Berglund had 4 tackles, including a sack last week and a fumble recovery.

5 RedBlacks to Watch

#2 WR Justin Hardy

Hardy caught 8 of his 10 targets last week for 133 yards and a touchdown.

#0 WR Bralon Addison

Addison caught 8 of his 11 targets last week for 112 yards.

#87 WR Eugene Lewis

Lewis had 5 catches for 57 yards and a touchdown.

#6 LB Adarius Pickett

Pickett had a team-leading 6 tackles last week and a fumble recovery.

#22 CB Adrian Frye

Frye had 5 tackles, 2 forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery last week.

Score Prediction:

Montreal has their opponent missing their starting quarterback for the 2nd straight week. I predict the Alouettes to win 27-17.
